Experimental
approaches to functional art, artistic exterior and interior
design constitute the building blocks of Susan Woods' philosophy.
Aswoon™/Susan
Woods Studio, LLC. specializes in the design and fabrication
of high-end objects d'art and architectural additions in
a variety of sophisticated and reclaimed materials. We develop sculptural
prototypes along with configuration solutions for interior
and exterior spaces. Exploring the relationship between
design experimentation and production through de-functionalism, Susan Woods, a product designer and artist, continually
creates additions to her own design lines.
Our portfolio includes years of experience with architects
and designers, private and corporate as well as retail clients
like Cartier, Fortuni, Aveda, ABC Carpet, Ann Taylor and W-Hotels. With
an extensive foundation as the un-named sculptor, fabricator,
collaborator behind designers, Susan Woods worked for Ferragamo,
Gucci, Victoria's Secret, Saks Fifth Ave. Corporate image
and identity always encompass an integral part of our comprehensive
approach to the development of public environments and interior spaces.
Aswoon™/Susan Woods Studio maintains a 4,000 sf production
facility in the Brooklyn Navy Yard and a showroom/gallery for DesignArt in nearby
DUMBO, Brooklyn, New York..
Our representative work is available for viewing by appointment
in our studio in The
Brooklyn Navy Yard, and by May 2007 in our new showroom at 14 Jay Street in DUMBO, Brooklyn. We are a few blocks from either
the A, C or F trains, first stops in Brooklyn from Manhattan. |
