My artwork is an accumulation of many interests in the visual fields of the fine arts and crafts- of craftsmanship- of women’s work/fabric, patterns, symbols, of the dynamics of movement- of the static moment within the ever moving, of our visual history including the study of our bodies/ourselves as the starting point of communication, of the ancients seeking the gods, of tools and the beginning of the written language. Composition is a compilation within certain boundaries/a world. Speaking through art is one of my favorite activities- sculpture, especially.
Inventing the Spring line and New Wave line for the public eye gave way to another discovery about an audience who touches to confirm a reality that one can not name, as do children. My current artwork stems from this point, hoping to make symbols and movement that relate, even if the specific language is on another plane.
